According to Lokomotiv president Nikolay Naumov, Lokomotiv are very close to sign AS Monaco defensive midfielder Sani Kaita. Recall that currently Sani Kaita is on loan at Russian Premier Liga outift Kuban. Neverthless, according the Naumov, Lokomotiv can enter into negotiations with Monaco to bring the Nigerian to Moscow since there are no agreements between the Canaries and Monaco which doesn't allow the player to move to any other club during the period of the loan, which lasts till the end of the current year. If the transfer does take place it is expected that Sani will first join Lokomotiv on loan. However the agreement will include an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan.
